Vlyss is a visual packing organizer built to help travelers turn chaotic packing into a clear, confident travel plan. We know your personal packing plans, luggage photos, and trip configurations are private, and we’re committed to full transparency about how we handle your data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use and protect it, and what control you have over your content when you use our service.

What Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to provide you with the Vlyss experience you expect, categorized as follows:

• Account Information: If you choose to create an account to sync your saved layouts across devices, you will provide us with your email address to verify and secure your account. You can also use Vlyss offline without an account, and in that case, no information is stored on our servers.
• Your User Content: This includes all the work you create in Vlyss: photos you take or upload of your suitcase/backpack, custom compartments you draw, item placements you map, packing layouts you build, and your saved favorite configurations for future trips. We only store this content if you choose to save it to your account.
• Usage & Diagnostic Data: We collect anonymous, non-personal data about how you interact with Vlyss, including which features you use most, app performance, crash reports, and load times. This helps us improve the experience for all travelers.
• Basic Device Information: We collect general details about your device, such as device type, operating system version, and browser type, to ensure compatibility and troubleshoot issues.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information only to deliver, improve, and secure the Vlyss service, specifically to:

• Sync your saved packing layouts across all your devices, so you can access your favorite configurations any time you plan a new trip
• Improve and optimize Vlyss features, fix bugs, and add new tools that match what the traveling community actually needs
• Prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to your account, keeping your private content secure
• Respond to your support requests and communicate important updates about the service
• Maintain offline functionality for users who choose not to create an account, with no data leaving your personal device

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information or private packing content with third parties for their own marketing purposes. We only share information in the following limited circumstances:

• Trusted Service Providers: We work with third-party cloud infrastructure and analytics providers to host your saved content and keep Vlyss running. These providers are only permitted to process your data according to our instructions and this privacy policy.
• Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to comply with applicable legal requirements, protect our rights, or protect the safety of our users and the public.
• Business Transfers: If Vlyss is involved in a merger, acquisition, or business asset sale, user information may be transferred as part of the transaction. We will notify you via the app or email before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

Your Rights & Control Over Your Data

You maintain full ownership and control over all your content and personal information at all times, including the right to:

• Access, edit, or delete any of your packing layouts or account information directly in the Vlyss app at any time
• Export all of your saved packing configurations and content to your personal device
• Delete your entire account and all associated content, with permanent erasure from our servers completed within 30 days of your request
• Opt out of anonymous diagnostic and usage data collection in your app settings at any time

Data Retention

We retain your saved content and account information for as long as you keep your account active, so you can continue to reuse your favorite packing configurations for all your future trips. If you delete your account, we permanently remove all your personal content from our active systems. We may retain anonymized, aggregated usage data for internal improvement purposes after account deletion, but this data cannot be linked back to you personally. For users who use Vlyss offline without an account, all content is stored only on your local device, and we never receive a copy of your content.

Security of Your Information

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, or destruction. While no method of data transmission over the internet or electronic storage can be guaranteed 100% secure, we continuously update our security practices to keep your private content as safe as possible.

Children's Privacy

Vlyss is not intended for use by children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, please contact us and we will immediately take steps to delete the information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes to our practices or service offerings. We will notify you of any material changes to this policy through an in-app notification or email to the address associated with your account. The latest effective date will always be posted at the top of this page. Your continued use of Vlyss after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
